Come and see the beautiful marine life
30 feet under the sea!

Fish Eye Marine Park’s underwater observatory is located in the Piti Bay Marine Preserve.
You can enjoy a breath taking panoramic view of the surrounding ocean through the 24 large viewing windows of the observatory.

As you walk along the bridge pier leading to the underwater observatory you will see many fishes swimming in the crystal clear ocean and feel the relaxing ocean breeze.

The observatory was built to withstand the damaging winds of a super typhoon.

As you enter the observatory, you descend the spiral staircase to the bottom deck is which is 30 feet underwater where you can view an abundance of fish swimming in their natural habitat.

You can enjoy a 360° view of the undersea world with the gorgeous blue color of the ocean and surrounding marine life and the many fishes that gather around their natural feeding stations.

Brilliant yellow butterfly fish

Watch the delightful clown fish lurking in the sea anemone and their fascinating color pattern blending with the serene ocean.

How the color of the ocean is created:

Piti Bay where the underwater observatory is located has a brilliant natural color graduation that is unbelievably beautiful. But did you know that the natural coral gardens are what creates the variety of colors of the sea?
Although not visible to the human eye, sunlight contains 7 different colors just like a rainbow. Because of the relationship between the color wavelength and the different depths of the ocean, the colors of red, orange and yellow get absorbed easily in the water unlike the color blue. The color blue can reach into deeper depths of the ocean which is why the color appears blue. In a bay like Piti where there are large shallow areas, some colors do not get absorbed completely in the water resulting in the various colors in the ocean. The color green appears in the shallow area on the white sandy ocean floor, dark brown sports are seen where there are coral heads and the color blue will appear in the deeper portions of the ocean. This is the reason why Piti Bay is no doubt one of the most beautiful places on the island. When you walk on the pier bridge heading to the observatory tower, don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the amazing artistry created by our blessed nature.

Comments by our diver

It’s awesome to watch the color of the Piti Bay
constantly changing throughout the day.
Even if you choose not to swim, you can still
enjoy the beautiful world of the sea from the
Underwater Observatory.
Plenty of fishes will come when we feed them.
It’s an amazing scene!
The lunch buffet is delicious too,
curry and BBQ is my favorite!

From time to time, a big barracuda appears too.

“Oh, it was so much fun!”

Enjoy our all you can eat scrumptious lunch buffet. Enjoy the curry, somen (cold noodles) and the pancakes with the colorful toppings of your choice.
