Create everlasting memories surrounded by colorful fishes while floating in the mysterious water sensation.
No license is required and any healthy individual 10 years and older can participate.
The S2 dive location is just a short 20 minute ride from major hotels in Tumon.
Dive instructions are thorough and easy to understand. Put on your wet suit and get ready to dive!
The diving entry spot is easily accessible in shallow waters and a short 5 minutes by car. Another pre-dive instruction is given before you put on your dive gear and slowly enter the water.
Put on your dive mask and practice breathing through the regulator.
You will be given instructions on how to equalize your ear pressure and maintain proper buoyancy to float in the water.
Once ready, you will start entering the water one at a time while holding on to the safety rope. The tidal current is gentle in the calm waves of the bay as your instructor slowly guides you.
You will soon be surrounded by numerous fish and an abundance of beautiful coral. A colorful damsel fish that changes from sapphire blue to turquoise blue from the effects of the modulating light will capture your attention.
Your nervousness subsides as you get busy feeding the fishes. Swimming in a depth of 3 to 7 meters is similar to a sensation of floating on air.
A first beach dive completed safely with the guidance of the dive instructor and staff. You will be sure to return and dive again in the beautiful Pacific Islands.
After showering and changing, we head down to Fish Eye Marine Park where the only underwater observatory in Micronesia is located. You will find many spots to take selfie photos while on the pier leading to the underwater observatory.
After the underwater observatory tour, we head across the street to Fish Eye’s restaurant. The restaurant is set in a unique tropical island atmosphere with an artificial waterfall, manmade lagoon, a tiki sculpting demonstration and island music playing in the background.
The idea of scuba diving may sound terrifying at first when considering the technical skills involved but as long as you are at least 10 years of age and in good health, anyone can participate with the least of difficulties. Even those who are not able to swim are able to participate. Be assured that the qualified instructors and underwater safety rope will make you feel at ease to venture out and dive.
The fascination of diving is not only seeing the many beautiful tropical fish and sea creatures but the unexplainable experience and feeling of floating over a garden of sea coral. It is also the best form of stress relief! Enjoy this experience in the waters of Guam where it is warm all year long.
